Prayer of hope for babies with chronic illness
Dear God my child is diagnosed with chronic illness which doctors say will last for his lifetime.
In Jeremiah 29:11 says "For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare not for harm, to give you a future with hope."
I trust in this bible verse and surrender my baby and family to your care and providence.
Uphold our baby with your righteous right hand and fight on our behalf. Let what the enemy intended for bad be our testimony and let your name be glorified through this child. In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Desperate Plea for Healing in Acute Illness
Dear God, my child is in the NICU stuck with an unexpected complication. Doctors say he may not live and if he does there will be complications.
In Romans 8:28 you promise that all things work together for god for those who love God and who are called according to his purpose.
I trust that you can work good out of this desperate situation.
Lord please wash him with your precious blood and fill him with your Holy Spirit.
Lord, my child, will live and declare your glorious work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer for a Premature Baby
Dear God, I am filled with fear and anguish. My baby is born premature and fighting for his life.
He is in an incubator, on a ventilator, surrounded by life supporting technologies and aa team of NICU doctors and nursing staff.
In Wisdom 16:12 your word says " Neither medicine nor ointment cured them; but it was thy word, O Lord, which heals all men".
I put my trust in your word. Please Lord, wash him with your precious blood, fill him with your holy spirit and be with him.
Bless all the medical and non medical staff who are involved in caring my for my baby protect them and guide them.
I trust my child will live and declare your glory in Jesus's name, Amen.
Prayer to the Holy Innocents
When Herod saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, he was infuriated and killed all the children of 2 years of age or under. Church celebrates the feast of Holy Innocents on December 28th.
Holy Innocents, you died before you were old enough to know what life means. We pray for all the children who die young that God may gather them into His loving arms.
Lord God, we also pray for children who are mentally challenged and handicapped either from birth or illnesses.
They may never know what life means; they are your living holy innocents.
Keep them under your protection.
Amen.
